Philadelphia, PA – May 4, 2026 — The Board of Directors of CONCILIO is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Hilrett “Hil” Walker as Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective May 1, 2026. Ms. Walker has led day-to-day operations since former CEO Adonis Banegas’s departure, and her appointment formalizes her leadership during the transition.

Ms. Walker brings more than a decade of experience in leadership, human resources, and organizational operations. She has served as CONCILIO’s Director of Human Resources since 2024 and is a member of the Executive Team, where she has strengthened internal systems and aligned people strategy with organizational priorities. In this role, she has worked closely with the Board and senior leadership to ensure continuity of operations and organizational stability during a period of transition.

Prior to joining CONCILIO, she led multi-region human resources operations across the Northeastern United States, driving meaningful improvements in talent acquisition, regulatory compliance, and leadership development. At CONCILIO, she has strengthened performance management, employee engagement, workforce training, and policy modernization, earning recognition as a trusted advisor to organizational leadership.

In her interim role, Ms. Walker will focus on ensuring operational continuity, advancing CONCILIO’s mission, and deepening partnerships that support the communities the organization serves. A proud Afro-Latina of Dominican descent, she brings a deep commitment to equity, cultural understanding, and community empowerment—values that closely reflect CONCILIO’s mission to uplift and serve the Latino community.

“Ms. Walker has demonstrated strong leadership during this transition, and the Board is confident that appointing her as Interim CEO will ensure continuity and stability for the organization,” said Priscilla Jimenez, Chair of CONCILIO’s Board of Directors. “We have every confidence she will lead with distinction and we are thrilled to welcome her into this role.”

“It is an honor to step into this role at CONCILIO,” said Ms. Walker. “As a proud Afro-Latina of Dominican descent, this work is deeply personal to me. CONCILIO has long been a trusted place of culture, connection, and care for the communities we serve. It represents more than services—it represents access, advocacy, and a true sense of belonging. With that responsibility, we move forward with purpose, pa’lante, working alongside our staff, board, partners, and community to build on this legacy and ensure every family we serve has the opportunity to thrive.”

The CONCILIO Board of Directors has initiated a thoughtful and inclusive process to identify a permanent Chief Executive Officer aligned with the organization’s mission and future needs.
