Concilio proudly hosted its Annual Three Kings Day celebration on Wednesday, January 7, welcoming families to an evening filled with culture, tradition, and joy.
The event took place at Concilio from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and brought together children, families, community leaders, and partners to honor the cherished holiday.
A highlight of the evening was the arrival of the Three Kings, who delighted children and families alike. Among them were State Representative Danilo Burgos, who participated dressed as one of the Kings, and Concilio Board Member Jose Mota, also portraying a King, underscoring the strong community leadership and support behind the event.
Each child in attendance had the opportunity to select a brand-new toy, continuing the Three Kings Day tradition of giving. The celebration also featured raffles, including the giveaway of two bicycles, adding to the excitement of the evening.
Thanks to the generous support of event sponsors, families enjoyed a variety of interactive and engaging activities. CCA provided a creative activation where children could draw and design their own custom drawstring bags, while Jefferson Health Plans brought a face painter to entertain younger attendees. Additional support was provided by UnitedHealthcare, helping make the event possible. Along with Finanta providing treats for families.
Adding to the excitement of the evening was a special appearance by the Philadelphia Phillies’ beloved mascot, the Philly Phanatic. The Phanatic danced throughout the event, posed for photos, and brought high-energy fun that kept children and families smiling and laughing. His lively presence entertained the crowd and added an extra layer of joy and celebration to Concilio’s Annual Three Kings Day, making the night even more memorable for all in attendance.
Volunteers from the Los Rumberos Jeep Club played an essential role throughout the evening, assisting each child in selecting their toy and ensuring families felt welcomed and supported.
To honor the cultural and historical significance of the holiday, families received a printed story of the Three Kings, sharing the meaning behind the tradition. As the evening concluded, attendees were sent off with pizza to enjoy on their way home, ending the celebration on a warm and festive note.
Concilio’s Annual Three Kings Day event continues to be a meaningful celebration of heritage, generosity, and community—creating lasting memories for families and reinforcing Concilio’s commitment to serving and uplifting those it supports.
