Concilio’s Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade 2025

On Sunday, September 28th, the Benjamin Franklin Parkway came alive with vibrant music, dance, and cultural pride during Concilio’s Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade.

With the main stage set at Logan Square, the event welcomed hundreds of attendees and featured over 40 participating groups, all celebrating this year’s theme, “From Town to Town: United by Our Culture.”

Concilio’s Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade showcased the talent and creativity of the Puerto Rican community, with performances from local schools, nonprofits, businesses, and dance troupes. Colorful floats, lively music, and spirited dance filled the streets, creating a festive and joyful atmosphere for families and community members alike. Special guests included Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker, and the parade’s Grand Marshal, renowned percussionist Pablo Batista, who captivated the crowd with his incredible energy. A respected figure in the Latin music community, Pablo’s presence highlighted the rich musical heritage of Puerto Rico and inspired performers and spectators alike.

Competition results highlighted the excellence and dedication of the participants. Among the first-place winners were Esencia Latina in the College category, Asereco in Community Group, Arts in Motion as a Dance Troupe, Palante Minis for Elementary, La Guagua47 for Floats, Esperanza Academy in High School, Antonia Pantoja Charter School in Middle School, Los Bomberos de la Calle for Nonprofits, and Atabey as Rookie of the Year. Each group brought energy, passion, and cultural pride, making the day unforgettable for all who attended.
