Thousands Celebrate Hispanic Culture at Concilio’s Annual Hispanic Fiesta in LOVE Park

On Saturday, June 28th, thousands gathered in the heart of Philadelphia at LOVE Park for Concilio’s Annual Hispanic Fiesta, proudly presented by GOYA and held in partnership with WAWA Welcome America.

The day was filled with the sights, sounds, and spirit of the Hispanic culture, culminating in a show-stopping performance by reggaetón legend Ivy Queen

The day-long celebration featured traditional and contemporary performances, cultural dance, food vendors, and resource partners, bringing together community members of all ages in a vibrant display of unity and heritage.

The crowd was treated to lively performances by Bonilla Baile FolkloricoRitmos United, and Los Pueblitos, who filled the stage with colorful costumes and high-energy cultural dance routines. Ivy Queen delivered a powerful set of fan favorites, including her anthem “Quiero Bailar,” sending waves of excitement through the packed crowd.

In addition to the entertainment, the event served as a platform to highlight vital community resources. Care & Help Home Care was on-site providing information on how to access home health care services, while CCTC (Children’s Crisis Treatment Center) offered mental health resources for children and families.

A particularly moving moment came when Concilio proudly recognized this year’s Scholarship Fund recipients, awarding them their scholarships on stage in front of the cheering crowd. These awards support local Latino youth as they pursue their dreams of higher education.

Elected officials also joined the celebration, with Mayor Cherelle ParkerCouncilwoman Quetcy Lozada, and State Representative Danilo Burgos addressing the audience and reaffirming their support for Philadelphia’s Latino communities.

“This event is a powerful reminder of our culture’s strength, resilience, and beauty,” said Adonis Banegas, Concilio’s CEO. “Thanks to the support of GOYA, WAWA Welcome America, and all of our partners, we were able to create a space that celebrates tradition while investing in the future of our youth.”

Concilio’s Annual Hispanic Fiesta remains one of the city’s most anticipated cultural events, offering an unforgettable experience while continuing its mission of uplifting the Hispanic community in Philadelphia and beyond.

A special thank you to our sponsors and partners for making this event possible: GOYA, WAWA Welcome America, Care & Help Home Care, HGSK, La Mega, Philadelphia Phillies, NBC10 and Telemundo 62, and the Philadelphia Union.
