COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES
The Summer Youth Works Program, in collaboration with Philadelphia Youth Network, employs Philadelphia youth for six weeks during the summer. Summer youth workers are expected to work 20 hours a week for six weeks. Each year, students complete a service-learning project around a specific theme.
The program is designed to give high school students real work experience while enhancing community involvement and academic achievement. Students also participate in skills development activities, workshops, and field trips in addition to their service-learning projects.
