Mr. Darrell Plant currently serves as the Director of Family Social Services for Concilio. He has over 20+ years of social services experiences primarily with children and their families. Prior to joining Concilio, Mr. Plant has been in a leadership position for over 15 years at two other sister organizations. During his tenure there and at Concilio, Mr. Plant has consistently focused on program growth and expansion. Since joining Concilio, Mr. Plant has helped the agency secure three new contracts and was the principal author of a winning contract bid for Philadelphia DHS pilot program titled “Professional Resource Parent Program.”
Mr. Plant is a native Philadelphian who graduated from Roman Catholic High School, then went on to achieve a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Law from Mansfield University and masters in Criminology and Juvenile Delinquency from Florida Metropolitan University.
Throughout his time working within social services, Mr. Plant has volunteered and has been requested to serve on various policy and planning/steering committees that have later been used to help shape the landscape of child welfare. In his leisure time, Mr. Plant loves to explore new restaurants, travel, practice his chef skills, attend the theater, binge watch shows, and spend time with his family.
