COVID-19 Data Manager

Bucks County Department of Health- Doylestown, United States Bucks County Department of Health, is seeking a COVID-19 Data Manager to support COVID-19 contact tracing investigations. This is in tandem with state-wide efforts to increase testing, improve communication and implementation of isolation and quarantine. This will fortify efforts to control the pandemic within Pennsylvania.

The COVID-19 Data Manager plays a critical role in supporting contact tracing teams to ensure that information received from case investigations is entered into the appropriate database. The COVID-19 Data Manager will be responsible for collecting, managing, and analyzing data collected for the COVID19 Case Investigators. They will be responsible for ensuring that all data received from contact tracing is available for staff on the Surveillance and Investigation Team to utilize.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Manage all COVID-19 related data 

• Ensure data quality, including working with case investigators to ensure that necessary data is being collected 

• Ensure data is being correctly entered in state surveillance system 

• Regularly assess and clean data received to assure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of collected information 

• Assist in case investigation and contact tracing as needed


Minimum Qualifications: 

• Master's degree in public health, statistics, or data management field 

• “Making Contact: A Training for COVID-19 Contact Tracers” (ASTHO) completed by date of hire 

• Excellent organizational and communication skills 

• Ability to speak, read, and write English 

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office 

• Knowledge of health statistics

Salary and Benefits:

This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, and some evening and weekend hours, at the Bucks County Department of Health in Doylestown, PA. COVID-19 Case

Bucks County Department of Health, is seeking COVID-19 Case Investigators to support COVID-19 contact tracing. This is in tandem with state-wide efforts to increase testing, improve communication and implementation of isolation and quarantine. This will fortify efforts to control the pandemic within Pennsylvania. 

COVID-19 investigators play a critical role in containing the spread of COVID-19 through case investigation, identifying and collecting contact details of individuals with COVID-19, follow-up with contacts, issuing isolation and quarantine orders and guidance, referring to testing, and connecting them to various resources and services. Case Investigators will contact all newly reported cases of COVID-19 to determine severity of illness, potential exposure, and identify contacts. They will provide guidance on COVID-19 control measures to cases, exposed contacts and points-of-contact (this may include the exclusion of individuals from daily activities). Case Investigators will provide education about COVID-19 to cases and contacts, as well as on isolation and quarantine procedures and about social services.

This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, and some evening and weekend hours, at the Bucks County Department of Health in Doylestown, PA. The position is grant funded for a minimum of one (1) year. Continuation of the position is dependent on sustained grant funding.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Obtain and document case investigation details including clinical presentation, laboratory results, underlying conditions, exposure sources, risk factors and the potential for transmission for each suspected case 

• Identify close contacts who may have been exposed to cases 

• Document investigation details in state surveillance system 

• Participate in case briefings 

• Answer public inquires including supporting call center operations as needed 

• Support future COVID-19 planning efforts as situation continues evolve 

• Complete other duties as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Master's or bachelor's degree in public health or health sciences preferred 

• “Making Contact: A Training for COVID-19 Contact Tracers” (ASTHO) completed by date of hire 

• Ability to show empathy to distressed individuals 

• Excellent organizational and communication skills 

• Ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress • Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude and work ethic 

• Ability to speak, read, and write English 

• Second or multiple languages a plus (especially Spanish, Russian, Gujarati) 

• Ability to handle confidential information including strict adherence to HIPAA compliance

COVID-19 Call Center Lead

Bucks County Department of Health, is seeking a COVID-19 Call Center Lead to support COVID-19 operations. This is in tandem with state-wide efforts to increase testing, improve communication and implementation of isolation and quarantine. This will fortify efforts to control the pandemic within Pennsylvania. 

The COVID-19 Public Information lead is responsible for managing public inquires through the health departments call lines. This individual will supervise public information responses and will work with the Public Information Lead to adjust call scripts. This position is also tasked with maintaining information on the number and types of call being received. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Triage calls to ensure appropriate individual are responding 

• Respond to public inquires 

• Supervise call responses 

• Support the development of call scripts 

• Deescalate angry/distressed callers 

• Maintain call center records and logs 

• Assist in case investigation and contact tracing as needed 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelors or master's in public Health or communications

• Excellent organizational and communication skills and attention to detail 

• Ability to speak, read, and write English

COVID-19 Call Center Responder 

Bucks County Department of Health- Doylestown, United States 

Bucks County Department of Health, is seeking a COVID-19 Call Center Responder to work in tandem with BCDH Case investigators and Contact Tracing to ensure continuity of BCDH COVID-19 messaging and guidance that is adequately conveyed to the public. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Managing large amounts of inbound and outbound calls and emails in a timely manner. Returning incoming calls from individuals who want COVID-19 testing, isolation/quarantine instructions, conduct COVID-19 Isolation Release Evaluations, manage complaints, troubleshoot significant exposure concerns, and provide general COVID-19 information. 

• Responders will keep records of all conversations in a comprehensible way (e.g. must have legible hand writing and excellent summary skills). 

• Identifying callers’ needs, clarifying emerging medical, social and scientific information related to COVID-19; researching and assuring that information/guidance provided offers adequate solution to caller inquiry. 

• Responder will keep caller satisfaction at the core of every communication interaction. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in public health or communications preferred 

• “Making Contact: A Training for COVID-19 Contact Tracers” (ASTHO) completed by date of hire 

• Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening 

• Ability to learn and translate COVID-19 facts and BCDH guidance to the general population 

• Ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress, and is adaptable to different personality types. 

• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively, and remain within public health scope • Second or multiple languages a plus (especially Spanish, Russian, Gujarati) 

• Ability to handle confidential information including strict adherence to HIPAA compliance
